On-demand fitness classes that you can do anytime, anywhere - without a gym membership!

streaming workout sites

Group fitness classes are a brilliant way to work up a sweat and shake up your fitness routine. But between trying to fit the limited class times into your schedule, race there after work only to find the class is packed, or simply having to worry about your level of coordination compared to the other people in the class… it’s not always as fun as it should be! Our solution? Fitness classes from home via one of these fantastic streaming workout sites.

1. Booya Fitness

Why we love it

With a huge selection of classes (from cardio kickboxing to dance, yoga to prenatal) recorded in some of the top US fitness studios, Booya is beautiful site with an affordable price tag. They also offer personalised workout programs for added motivation, and stream popular music straight from the charts so you every workout feels fresh and keeps you pumped.

2. Daily Burn

Why we love it

Sporting a library of over 700 workouts, you’re guaranteed to find something you want to try, no matter what your mood. Filter your search by time, equipment, trainer and pace so you can keep pushing yourself as your fitness levels increase. Our favourite part of all? You can do classes with Bob Harper, everyone’s favourite trainer from The Biggest Loser US!

3. Crunch Live

Why we love it

Filmed in a funky, industrial style warehouse, Crunch Live features a slew of powerhouse trainers guiding you through classes like Belly, Butt & Thigh Bootcamp, Dance Rhythms and Kick Butt Kickboxing. While their library is smaller than some of the others on offer, the classes are challenging and heaps of fun - plus with an annual membership cost of only USD90, it’s a fraction the cost of what you’d pay in gym fees!

4. BeFit

Why we love it

While BeFit have a premium subscription available via Amazon Prime, they’ve also got a YouTube channel offering a huge selection of workouts for free! If you’re not ready to commit to a paid membership, this is the perfect way to see if you take to home workouts – or, since they’re all short and sweet, you might want to keep them as a backup for the days when you can’t make it to the gym or want to burn a few extra calories.

5. Tracy Anderson

Why we love it

In case you haven’t heard of Tracy Anderson, we’ll fill you in. She’s one of the most famous trainers to the stars, known for training Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston - even Madonna. Yep, she’s kind of a big deal! Sure, her streaming program has a price tag to match, but hey - if you like the idea of doing the same workouts as your favourite Hollywood starlets, it might be worth the investment!

6. Udaya

Why we love it

Yoga fans, rejoice. With hundreds of classes (they release 5 new classes a week!) covering over 15 styles of yoga, meditation and pranayama, Udaya ticks all of the boxes. They offer all sorts of teaching tips, nutrition advice and recipes, and the classes run between 5 and 60 minutes, meaning you’ll always find time to fit one in. Best of all, the monthly membership is affordable and can be cancelled at any time.

7. Barre3

Why we love it

Designed to offer more than just classes, barre3 incorporates exercise, nutrition and community to help you achieve your health and fitness goals in a supportive environment. Their classes mix the best of yoga, pilates, cardio and weight training to give you a nice burn, while balancing your body, increasing core strength and leaving you with a nice little endorphin high. Not the cheapest of options, but great if you’re serious about your goals.

Now before you ditch the gym for your living room…

Don’t think that training from home gives you the excuse to dress in your daggiest old track pants. You might not be seen by anyone else, but dressing the part is a big helper in finding motivation, so don’t be afraid to put on some bright colours and even a sweatband! ;)
